Paragone invited Edgar Jayet to pay tribute to Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann’s legendary Pavillon du Collectionneur through a contemporary lens. The result is Le Bain du Collectionneur, a collection curated and edited by Paragone.
Conceived as a modern manifesto of French taste, Le Bain du Collectionneur draws inspiration from Ruhlmann’s iconic pavilion, first unveiled at the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
A century later, Edgar Jayet reimagines this historic symbol with a collection of furniture and objects that blend exquisite French craftsmanship, the spirit of travel, and an intimate dialogue between the bathroom and boudoir.
In the tradition of Ruhlmann, Jayet collaborated closely with historic French maisons, celebrating their exceptional savoir-faire and breathing new life into their artisanal legacies.
Realized in partnership with some of France’s most esteemed workshops and under the patronage of Maison Lelièvre, Le Bain du Collectionneur embodies the dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation — at once a tribute to tradition and a bold, immersive expression of design as a total work of
art.
The exhibition will be unveiled at Hôtel de Maisons, Paris, during Design Miami/Paris, October 22–26, 2025.
