Joséphine Fossey is an Interior Decorator and Art Curator based in Paris.
She developed her artistic sensibility and knowledge at Christie’s as specialist in the Impressionist and Modern Art department. She has retained a strong taste for historical research and the eclecticism of the major collections such as those of Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé or Hubert de Givenchy, mixing exceptional furniture and artworks from different style or periods.
In 2013, she co-founded an Art consultancy agency dedicated to high-end residential projects and luxury hospitality, participating in the story of renown hotels such as the Lutetia in Paris, Rosewood in Vienna or the Woodward in Geneva.
In 2021, she founded her own creative office with a team of artistic directors, interior architects and art curators. In this, Joséphine Fossey returns to the precept of “Gesamtkunstwerk” (total work of Art) dear to the Art & Craft or Art Deco movements that guide her approach; a creative process where different art forms are combined to create a single cohesive whole. Her interiors are curated with a timeless and elegant taste while also being daring with surprising and artistic contrasts.
She has recently designed the first houses of the Iconic House collection, a luxury mas in Provence in the spirit of an artist's house and a contemporary chalet in Courchevel with a radically modernist feel. For the launch of a new vineyard in Sancerre Lestang 1573, she has designed the winery as a singular décor, inviting local talents and well-known artists as Mathias Kiss to deliver free and personal interpretations of the vine.
She currently oversees the creation of a polar expedition ship company as creative director, the art curation of the first Orient Express hotel in Rome along with several private residences.
