Studio AKADEMOS is an interior design and design studio founded in 2021 in Paris.
Aurélien Raymond began his architecture studies at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) for two years before crossing back the Atlantic in order to transfer to École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-Malaquais (ENSAPM) in Paris from which he graduated with honors in 2019. He took a year off from his studies in 2015 during which he had the opportunity to discover the scale of interior design while working for Pierre Yovanovitch. A new free-lance mission at Pierre Yovanovitch’s firm in 2016 as well as a free-lance mission at Emmanuelle Simon’s firm both cemented his desire to dedicate his creativity to interior design. After receiving his diploma in 2019, he joined Studio Casiraghi and was made project manager on a residential project located in the US, a hotel in Greece and a restaurant in St Barts. He met his future associate Costanza Rossi on the same year, at the same firm.
Costanza Rossi studied architecture at IUAV University of Venice in Italy from which she graduated with honors in 2016. She was also simultaneously admitted at École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-La Villette (ENSAPLV) in Paris from which she received her «Habilitation à exercer la Maîtrise d’Oeuvre en son Nom Propre (HMONP)» in 2014. She began her career path working for both architecture firms and urban planning firms. These two distinct universes allowed her to form a global vision on each project she worked on. A vision she used and applied when she officially entered the spheres of interior design. Her youth in Carrara (marble world capital) and her life as a student in Venice both fed her passion for materials, details and beauty in general. She joined Studio Casiraghi in 2019 and was made project manager on two prestigious Parisian residential projects, a beach club in Greece and a hotel in Paris. She met her future associate Aurélien Raymond on the same year, at the same firm.
Studio AKADEMOS experiments with colors and materials and strives to offer a different take on the current interior design trends. Each project is supported by a strong storytelling, backbone of each concept they develop. Generally influenced by both the Café Society era and the glamour of the late 1970s, their interiors always incorporate a touch of sensuality and seduction that translate through the use of mirrors and lacquer. Both intimate and flamboyant, their work is an invitation to a world of receptions and parties.
